Concept and Process

We developed the visual identity and website for Milly Lacombe, a Brazilian writer, journalist, screenwriter, and columnist known for her sharp voice and emotional depth. The platform gathers her diverse body of work - from chronicles and essays to podcasts, interviews, and published books - creating a living archive that reflects both her writing and her presence in contemporary culture.

Because Milly's universe revolves around language, the design places typography at its core. Letters, words, and phrases become the main visual material, shaping an expressive and dynamic environment. The homepage opens with a manifesto - a bold statement that immediately sets the tone for a space where text becomes form, voice, and attitude.

The typographic system plays with rhythm, scale, and hierarchy, mirroring the texture and cadence of her writing. An eclectic and youthful color palette adds contrast and vitality, while maintaining a sense of clarity and flow across the interface.

Images appear sparingly, functioning as contextual elements rather than central components. This approach emphasizes the written word and creates an intimate reading experience that feels both raw and intentional - a visual translation of Milly's voice and a space that embodies her approach to storytelling: unfiltered, layered, and deeply human.
